Scholarship Programme
We believe in laying a solid foundation for academic progress in our society, beginning with the communities we operate in. To support this principle, we conduct the Harris & Menuk Scholarship Programme annually, which has so far helped more than 250 needy students pursue their educational aspirations. This Scholarship Programme started in the year 2006, is part of the Group's community development policy which focuses mainly on education. The Programme aims to nurture future leaders for the society and help the scholarship recipient achieve his/her expectations for a lifelong career. Our employees participate in this Programme by taking the responsibility to visit the selected institutes and meeting with the teachers and students to identify the suitable candidates who can be benefited by the scholarship. The Scholarship Programme also promotes the growth of the industry we operate in by encouraging more students to opt for professional qualifications in the field of textile engineering and textile technology.

Institutions covered under our current scholarship scheme include the Bangladesh University of Textiles in Dhaka, Bangladesh and the SSM Institute of textile technology and Polytechnic College, EIT Polytechnic College, Nehru Memorial College in Tamilnadu, India.

Another point of note is the assistance we offer to educational institutes requiring financial support. We do this through activities that provide better infrastructure for the overall benefit of the students such as construction of a school library, funding construction of school buildings, arranging primary supplies etc

Harris & Menuk strongly believes in encouraging excellence and leadership through education which would result in a significant contribution to the community in which we live and work.
